I wanna be where the… people are. You’re welcome for getting that song in your head.
I’m a yes girl. I say yes to everything. I especially say yes to anything that lets me give back! Years ago, I was my friend's campaign manager for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Woman of the Year Campaign. She was just an acquaintance when I said yes, but after 10 weeks of intense fundraising, we became pretty tight. Being in sales and wired for sales and LOVING sales, I’m very comfortable with asking people to spend their money [on something]. Fundraising? Well, that’s next level. We raised $125K in 10 weeks. It was hard. We had motivation though. Her son was battling Leukemia and the more we raised, the more went directly to research grants that we got to pick to battle that ugly cancer.
Since then, I’ve dedicated my time, talents and treasures each year for the LLS Visionaries of the Year Campaign. It’s the hardest selling I’ve ever done. It’s my yearly “marathon” to test my skills and get myself out of my comfort zone.
This year, I’m supporting Mike Testa in running for LLS’s Visionary of the Year. I’m dead set on helping him achieve his goal of $75K by June 10. And I’m using my monthly platform to ask YOU to help me help him. If you have an amazing auction item to contribute, your company offers corporate sponsorships, you want to come to the gala and party with us, you want to come to an upcoming event, or simply want to donate some money, PLEASE DO. Here’s the link, or reach out to me for more information.
There’s a sales tip here.
Mike Testa. Met at a networking event years ago. We never had the opportunity to do business together but formed a close networking connection. We would make introductions for each other when appropriate. When I started my company and threw a launch party, he came. When I asked those networking connections at my party to make introductions for me, he did. His company, Ogden Real Estate, became a client of The Middle Six because of him.
And that’s how business development works.
For me, it’s true. Networking for me is wherever people are. That’s how it should be for you as well! You should be able to spend your time doing things that you love. The relationships you make and nurture will pay off, and you gain great friendships along the way.

PREDICTIVE INDEX FEATURE PROFILE
We bet you can’t exist without a Specialist in your life, can you? A Specialist is a highly precise worker, cautious, introspective, and highly loyal to authority. They value details and need to fully understand a topic before making decisions. Here at The Middle Six, 90% of our team has low attention to detail. (Hello perfect salesperson profile!) If we didn’t have our very own Specialist running our marketing, you would never see a newsletter or social media post on time, spelled correctly, or formatted well.
Are you a Specialist? Or one of the other 16 profiles. Find out for yourself!
Hey, if we’re already talking about Ogden Real Estate, we might as well get into it! Did you know there is such a thing as a FULL SERVICE real estate company? Yup. You heard it right. Commercial Brokerage, Residential Brokerage, Property Management, Development, Professional Services… and more. We were honored to participate in their quarterly all-team meeting. We shared with the whole company a few tips and tricks we have up our sleeve for everyone (no matter their role!) to create their very own personalized Elevator Pitch. Here at The Middle Six, we believe that everyone is a salesperson, no matter what they do. You’re selling when you talk your kids into picking up their toys, or convincing your husband to go to a certain vacation spot. We like to arm people with the tools to understand the “Psychology of Selling." When you work for an amazing company like Ogden Real Estate, you want to be able to tell your neighbors at the block party who you are, what you do, who you do it for, why you are different, and who to send your way if they have a need. Do you need anything to do with real estate or know someone who does? I’m happy to make an introduction.

SSP: Strategic Sales Philanthropy
There are two different types of philanthropy. The time, talents, and treasures you give to things that you personally are passionate about, and the time, talent, and treasures you give to organizations that your customers are passionate about. Give back while showing your customers that you are dedicated to supporting them and the things that they care about.
